Welcome...
The cabins are located in the historic mining town of Garfield, Colorado, also known as Monarch. This sleepy little town is nestled in the mountains at about 9,500 ft. elevation in the middle of  San Isabel National Forest. Mountain peaks surround the town with majestic views. Located right off U.S. 50, Monarch Ski and Snowboard Area is only 4 Miles away. The Arkansas River, considered by many the capitol of Colorado river rafting, is also nearby. 

No matter what the season, the area is full of outdoor recreation opportunities: skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing; rafting, hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, ghost-town exploring, and just plain relaxing.
Policies

Check-In Time: 3:00 p.m.
Check-Out Time: 10:00 a.m.
No exceptions.

Reservations
Two night minimum stay required. Reservations will be accepted up to one year in advance and confirmed rate will be guaranteed. To confirm your reservation a 50% deposit is due within ten days after your reservation is made or your reservation will be canceled. Balance and (damage or excessive cleaning) deposit are due two weeks before your arrival.
Reservation Cancellation
A refund will be given with 60 days cancellation notice. With less than a 60 day cancellation notice a refund will only be made if the space can be rebooked. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions. All cancellations are subject to a $50 handling charge.

Forest Creek


Forest Creek is luxury in Colorado’s mountain wilderness. A secluded place for skiers, snowboarders, hikers, whitewater rafters, writers, naturalists, or those seeking tranquility.

This mountain style cabin was built in 1999 and has 2460 square feet. The front porch and balcony have a close up view of Monarch Ridge towering above. There is also a back porch and balcony, with a cascading stream running below and the Rocky Craig in the near distance.

Inside you are welcomed into a great room with cathedral ceilings accented with an Empire gas stove. Beside the great room there is an open dining room with a completely equipped kitchen to rear.

The master bedroom located downstairs has a French door leading to the back porch. For a treat try the slipper tub for a relaxing bath.

Upstairs you enter a sleeping loft with two full size beds with a French door leading to the front balcony’s majestic views. There are two bedrooms with French doors leading to the balcony overlooking the river. The west bedroom has a full bed. The east bedroom has a king and a bunk bed. A full bath is located upstairs.

Cabin can sleep twelve, Fully equipped kitchen with trash compactor, Cabin is Non-smoking, Laundry with washer and dryer, Satellite TV, Pets are not allowed

Bear's Den


The Bear’s Den is luxury in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. This vacation home is beautifully furnished with quilts, antiques and bears.

This country style cabin was built in 1996 and has 1,686 square feet with a front porch and balcony to sit back and relax to the sounds of the South Fork of the Arkansas River.

Inside you are welcomed into a great room with cathedral ceilings accented with a Vermont gas stove. Beside the great room there is an open and completely equipped kitchen.

There are three bedrooms and a sleeping loft, with a total of 1 queen, 3 full, and 1 twin size bed, plus a day bed, and two bathrooms.

Cabin can sleep ten., Fully equipped kitchen with trash compactor, Cabin is Non-smoking, Laundry with washer and dryer, Satellite TV, Pets are not allowed

Sleepy Hollow


Sleepy Hollow is luxury in Colorado's mountain wilderness. A secluded vacation home with majestic views and sounds of the South Fork of the Arkansas River cascading down the mountain; a get-away for skiers, snowboarders, hikers, whitewater rafters, writers, naturalists, or those seeking tranquility.

This mountain style vacation home was built in 2002 and has 2368 square feet. A view of a small waterfall can be seen off the rear balconies.

Inside you are welcomed into a great room with cathedral ceilings accented with log stairs and rails. The Waterford gas stove is the lazy man's fireplace, keeping you warm while you relax. This open floor plan has a completely furnished kitchen, dining and living room. There are so many windows you feel as if you are out in the wilderness with the wild!

This vacation home sleeps twelve with a fully equipped kitchen with trash compactor, Waterford gas fireplace, washer and dryer, satellite TV and VCR.  The cabin is Non-smoking and pets are not allowed
