Maplevale Farm was operated and owned by John and Sarah Martindell. They built their house in 1856 and raised their family of seven children in the gracious home. The farm consisted of 185 acres and provided dairy products to Miami University and the surrounding area. The house remained in the immediate family for 102 years until 1958 when the youngest Martindell child died. The property was purchased in 1999 with the intention of it being turned into a B & B and Maplevale Farm Bed and Breakfast opened in May of 2000.

Maplevale Farm Bed and Breakfast is located one mile south of Oxford on Oxford Millville Road (US 27). Just 5 minutes from the Miami University campus.
